Bulletproof is not just a highly customizable front end - it also includes an entirely new back end admin template featuring a fresh, contemporary design. Bulletproof was being developed during the latter stages of Serendipity 1.2 development and is the first administrative template to utilize many new classes and id's introduced in the 1.2 release.
There are actually two admin template stylesheets. The default is a 970 pixel, fixed width design. Why fixed width? Simple - the designer has much more control when the template is heavily dependent upon graphics, which is certainly the case with BP. For those with the ability to do so, it also allows a user to replace the background banner image with a fixed width banner image they use on the frontend.
